The Park offers free parking, and is easy to find. Take Gulf Drive north to Pine Avenue and then take Bay Blvd until you reach the Park at 316 N Bay Blvd. It is open from 6am to midnight. The free AMI trolley stops nearby. There are grills, benches, pavilions for picnicking and you can walk to shops and restaurants in town, avoiding parking hassles. Bike racks allow for secure storage.

There is parking all along the Park’s beach, shown in the red areas below, as well as a few spots next door at the City Pier.

The City Pier Grill, at the end of the pier was open seven days a week from 7am–10pm. Also there is a bait & tackle shop for fishing off the pier. Unfortunately, the pier lost a section in the 2024 hurricanes, so it is not currently open. But all is slowly being rebuilt. By the way, here’s a
guide to local events in the area.

With the restaurant and the City Pier closed, parking access may be a bit easier, and from either the pier or Bayfront Park it’s a short bike ride or easy walk to the northern access point to Bean Point beach.

The City Pier was an impressive feat of engineering, but its distance out into the bay made is susceptible to storms.

The next section describes Homes Beach which shares Manatee Beach with the town of Bradenton Beach.
