At 8570 Manasota Key Road this beach is in Englewood, FL, in Sarasota County. It is part of the park system and offers free parking, lifeguards, picnic shelters, restrooms and grills. No tobacco, fires or dogs are allowed. There are boat ramps.

Open, as usual, 6:00am to 10pm it features wide, flat clean sand. A bit larger grained than the fine sand of Siesta Key, it makes up for that in that is is much less crowded. There are nice covered picnic tables and a fancy bathroom facility.

The beach goes for a mile in either direction from the parking lot, and walking on the “wet sand” is public if it is not marked at private.

Some of the rules are weird. No electric bikes are allowed, but alcohol IS allowed – but not in glass containers. As usual no pets, camping, fires and/or fireworks are allowed. Here’s an aerial view of the beach, facilities and parking:

Next we’ll look at Middle Beach which is better known as Blind Pass Beach. Confusing, No?
